This version of WebSDM has been tested to ensure that it works on the current versions of the three major Windows browsers (Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Firefox), as well as on the current version of Safari on the Mac and iPad. WebSDM has also been tested on Android and Windows tablets, as well as some BlackBerry devices.
Please contact the help desk at support@evidentchange.org and let us know if there are other specific operating systems or browsers that WebSDM needs to support.
This version of WebSDM has been designed to work on many mobile devices, allowing staff to complete SDM assessments in the field, as long as they have an Internet connection. In this situation, it would be no different than completing an SDM assessment at one's desk. The assessment would be immediately saved in WebSDM and available for approval, printing, etc.
Currently, the new version of WebSDM cannot be accessed by staff if they do not have a Wi-Fi, cellular, or other Internet connection. CDSS rules and security challenges prevent WebSDM from supporting “offline” completion of SDM assessments.
Data entered into CWS/CMS before 6:00PM should be available the following business day. CWS/CMS data is extracted each weeknight beginning around 5:00pm. The data is sent overnight to Evident Change, where it is loaded into WebSDM. Because of this timing, data entered into CWS/CMS after 6:00pm may not show up in WebSDM until the following day.
For example, a new case added at 2:00pm on Monday will show up in WebSDM on Tuesday morning. A case added at 7:00pm may not show up until Wednesday morning.
Find the case on your My Caseload list and click his/her name. This will open the Case (or Referral) Assessment List with all assessments involving that case. The assessment list will look similar to the My Caseload page, with each assessment displayed in a tile with additional information such as results, status, and participants.
To view any assessment on the Case/Referral Assessment List page, click the assessment name.
From the My Caseload page, find the case/referral and click to view the Case/Referral Assessment List. Assessments are displayed by most recent completion date.
From the My Assessments page, sort the list by date to see most recently completed assessments, or search for the case/referral name.
Click the Help icon (question mark) next to the assessment item to see its definition. You can also access a PDF of the P&P manual as well as the mobile definitions site from within WebSDM.
If the family member is noted as a relative to any current client on the case in CWS/CMS, you can add him/her to the assessment. Click the Add Addtional Client icon to the far right of the current client in the Clients section of the assessment. Choose the family member from the pop-up and click Add.
You can also view a tutorial that demonstrates this process, accessed by opening the Tutorials link on the Links panel.
Assessments that are marked "Approved With Modifications" have been approved by a supervisor after he/she made changes. These assessments are displayed as "Approved with Modifications" to bring these changes to your attention and to give you an opportunity to review them.
There may be times when you need to start a referral SDM assessment before the referral appears in WebSDM. To do so, follow these steps.
Once the assessment is completed and saved, the Approve button at the bottom of the assessment is enabled. Click that to open a pop-up with a list of units. Select the unit, and click the Request Approval button.
Note: Once you submit an assessment for approval, it becomes read-only. If you need to edit the assessment, you must recall the approval request. See below for more information on how to recall and edit and assessment.
From the My Assessments page, find the assessment and click the Open icon at the far left of the assessment. Click the Approval button and select Redirect Approval. Select the appropriate unit from the list and click Redirect Approval.
Assessments become read-only once you request approval. As long as the assessment hasn't been approved yet, you can recall the approval request and then edit the assessment.
To recall an approval request, open the assessment, click the Approval button at the bottom, and select Recall Approval. This will remove the assessment from the supervisor's list of assessments pending approval. You can then edit the assessment as needed and then resubmit.
